Join RTR Team
TEAM RTR was established as a way for everyone, no matter the age, level of athlete, or location to help support the mission of Racing To Register: to inspire people of all races and ethnicities to join the national bone marrow registry, and to provide hope and inspiration to those suffering from blood cancers by matching patients with donors.
Each year more than 10,000 people contact the Be The Match Registry seeking a bone marrow or stem cell donor. Today, there are only 9 million people in the donor data base. On average only 60 percent of the people will find a suitable donor.
As a part of Team RTR, in exchange for training and support, you help raise money to allow Racing To Register to continue to register people for the Be The Match Registry, and support our other program, RTR Cares.
We are now offereing race entries to:
- Broad Street Run, Philadelphia PA (www.thebroadstreetrun.com ) : Fastest 10 mile race in the US. Attracts over 35,000 runners who run a flat, fast course through the City, ending at the historic Navy Yard. This race sells out in only a few days: 5 spots left!
- Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon: June 23-24, 2012: Over 4,000 athletes compete in this voted one of the top 10 triathlons in the US, as well as part of the Toyota Lifetime Series. Both Sprint and Olympic distance spots. Only 5 spots left! (www.phillytri.com ).
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon: September 2012: An AWESOME race experience. Flat, fast, incredible support and bands throughout the course to keep you moving. Run past some great sites in Philadelphia and join over 20,000 runners completing a fun 13.1 miles. Great post-race concert and family get together areas. One of the best race expos on race weekend makes for a terrific and fun family weekend experience. We have 100 total spots!
